Class Experience
Course Description: This is a flex/independent four week course with a DBQ (document-based question) component. There are no live meetings for this course. This course is aligned to national standards and will focus on argument writing and character traits. During the four weeks, students will complete DBQ documents and use them to create an argument around the question, “Was Grimm Too Grim?.” Students will also compare and contrast Brother Grimm stories to Disney stories as well as the...

I am offering this course, because I enjoy teaching this level of students and enjoy teaching Language Arts.
Students will read stories, answer discussion questions and complete an argumentative paper.
Student is responsible for: -Paper and pencil for notes -Google Email account to access and save Google Documents
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Some of the readings are a little dark. Please make sure you are comfortable with your learner reading dark stories
