Description

Class Experience

Students will be assigned 15+ lines each in Beyond the Code: Brightspirit’s Mercy. A Warriors Play by Erin Hunter. 
We will create characters, scenes, and work on perfecting our performance. A video file of the final performance will be shared with students to keep! Each meeting will last 30-45 minutes. 

1) Introduction
Students will be assigned to characters, asked to highlight their lines, and start the first reading. 

2) Character Development
We will discuss our characters personalities...

Practice and perfect oral reading skills using expression and enthusiasm. 
Improve reading confidence levels. 
Socialize with other students who have similar interests. 
Get creative with costumes and scenes.

The script is provided. You will need to print or view in a separate tab or device. 
Students will need to create character costumes and scenes. This can be done virtually or physically with various art supplies. 
Students may need to screen share (with sound sharing) and use google slides depending on their role.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
