Description
Class Experience
Your child would learn the basic karate techniques and history of karate from Japan. The goal of this training is to help your child get excited about an active life at home while learning something new that would increase their coordination, strength, and balance. This program will help your child develop self-esteem, self-control, and self-defense with the practice of simple and fun exercises. After completing this program, your child will achieve grade "9 Kyu C". This is a white belt with a green stripe. They will receive a certificate indicating completion.
I am studying Exercise Science and I have been teaching kids for 5 years. I am a dancer and black belt in Karate-Do with more than 10 years of experience. I am a world karate champion that has traveled to Japan and all around the world. In addition, I was a dancer on my high school varsity team. I have understood the benefits of having a strong foundation in stretching, and that is why my passion is to help others to be their best! I am young, caring, and fun, and look forward to meeting your child!
Have fun practicing the movement learned in class, and teach them to your family and friends. The philosophy is based on practice and engagement.

Classes will be 100% interactive. With that said, student cameras must be turned on throughout the whole duration of the class. Parents should supervise their children in order to ensure they are in a safe area. This class is movement-based, so be sure your child has plenty of room to stretch, jump, and workout. Parents are allowed and encouraged to supervise and assist their children during activities. It is recommended that this occur during your child’s first classes in order to help him/her feel more confident during the class. Once your child becomes more comfortable with the exercises and class, they will become more independent learners. Students practicing indoors can practice barefoot, but students practicing outdoors are recommended to use closed-toe shoes or sneakers.
It is not required to wear a karate uniform (Karate Gi), children only need to wear comfortable sports clothing, but it is recommended to wear a lightweight Karate uniform and a white belt. They are available on Amazon at very reasonable prices or at a local martial arts supply store. Link to Amazon suggestions: Pro Force 6 oz.
