Description
Class Experience
The objective of the class is to increase and maintain optimal health and wellness in our youth through body strengthening and agility. Students will learn and apply fundamental exercises that will support and aid them in a physical, emotional and mental transformation. Parents and Students should be mindful of following proper exercising techniques to reduce any injuries during class.
I truly believe health and wellness is an important aspect to incorporate in our lives, and it's imperative that students understand this importance so that they are able to develop and master these habits in advance. Unfortunately I didn't have these resources growing up as a child. Since I began teaching students, It has been one of my main objectives to provide proper tools and knowledge that can be used throughout any area of life in a way that's natural to me, and one that I'm very passionate about in my life.
No homework.
Students and Parents should be mindful of the following: - Proper clothing attire (comfortable for movement) - Open space, as students will be engaging in activities ranging from walking/jogging in place, sit-ups, squats etc. - Water, please be properly equipped - Close-toed shoes - Towel
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be provided with proper feedback during class.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Age appropriate material will only be used during this class. Students should follow proper exercise protocols in class to avoid injuries such as: Muscle pull and strain. Sprained ankle. Shoulder injury. Knee injuries. Shin splint. Tendinitis. Wrist sprain or dislocation. Stop if it hurts. Stretching should never hurt. If you have reached a point in your stretch where it hurts, pull back to where you still feel a stretch but can hold the stretch comfortably. Don't bounce. Bouncing while stretching may injure the muscle you're stretching.
