Join us for this book club involving all things WARRIORS! In this weekly book club, we will be discussing the books from the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. During this first installment of the book club, we will be reading the first book in the series, "Into the Wild". The Warriors series are a literary phenomenon and best-selling series! We will read about four clans of cats who have shared a forest for generations. With elements of danger, heroism, good vs. evil, mystery, and prophecy,...
Students will demonstrate comprehension of text by responding to basic recall questions. Students will develop a love of literature through reading for enjoyment. Students will answer higher-order thinking questions to become creative thinkers and better problem solvers. Students will use respectful language, tone, and mannerisms to communicate during disagreements.
This book is approximately 270 pages. Week 1 we will be discussing Chapters 1-4 Week 2 we will be discussing Chapters 5-8 Week 3 we will be discussing Chapters 9-12 Week 4 we will be discussing Chapters 13-16 Week 5 we will be discussing Chapters 17-20 Week 6 we will be discussing Chapters 21-25 This equates to approximately 40-50 pages of reading per week.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be an informal assessment of each student's ability to participate in the class discussion, provide relevant and reasonable answers to questions, and treat others with respect.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
