Ancient Egypt was a very great and powerful civilization in the history of our world. It lasted over 3000 years. There are many reasons to study Ancient Egypt. One of the first reasons is the amazing achievements, like the pyramids. They were construction some 4,500 years ago and are still standing! That even beats the Mayan pyramids in Mexico or some of the amazing medieval cathedrals. From an early stage the society was literate. We are lucky enough to have deciphered the hieroglyphs and can read their records. Let’s not forget the amazing Egyptian climate, mummies and pharaohs. Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings and salutations! My name is Jody and I currently live in the great state of Kentucky. I have done on-line schooling for three plus years and love to meet new students. I have a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified for TEFL and TESOL to teach English as a second language. I taught in a brick and mortar school for many, many years. I decided to stay at home to homeschool my own children and transition to on-line teaching where I can still fulfill my passion for teaching and meet new people.
Learning is not the same with each student, so I try to adapt each lesson and allow students to take ownership of their learning with several learning goals in mind. Growing a community of learners while developing meaningful and respectful relationships is super important. My classroom will be a threat-free zone where each student will feel comfortable being themself and where they can learn at their own speed.
When I am not not in the classroom, I am love to spend time with my husband, three children, bulldog (Winston) and cat (Lollypop). We travel, hike, and eat ice cream! I hope to see your child in my classroom for a great adventure and a lot of fun!
