Description

Class Experience

As a librarian and rest teacher at a Waldorf School for six years, I absolutely treasure all of my moments spent with the dear kindy and first grade students. I love that I can work with them all around the world now! I also homeschooled my own two children using the Waldorf curriculum. I worked for six years as a Waldorf school (K-12) librarian working closely with all class teachers. I am an expert in choosing developmentally appropriate reading and curriculum material for all students. I am also a reading coach, private reading tutor, and ESL teacher. I love teaching children to read and love to see their immense excitement with their successes! I teach kindy-high school students from all around the world. I work with students at all levels, struggling to gifted. My expertise includes finding what makes kids successful so that they want to keep learning. I have studied yoga for 8 years and I have used yoga and meditation for years in my classrooms both online and in person.
Please have a yoga mat and safe place to move for our movement time! Drawing paper and crayons
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All stories and images used in this class are age appropriate! Books are illustrated by Bernadette Watts. The "scary" parts of the stories shared would be when the Queen in Snow White falls down dead in the end and the wolf gets cut open by the hunter in Red Riding Hood. However, these parts are read with gentle illustrations and nothing graphic visually.

Please provide a yoga mat and safe place that is open enough for your student to practice our movement together! Be sure your student has proper footwear and a water bottle close at hand.
I use Epic for our online books.
