Class Experience

This is a one on one class in which I will design a 100% individualized curriculum for the whole semester! I will develop a plan based on your learners interests, learning goals, learning styles and preferences. This class will be a semester long class and I will meet with your student live once a week to check in on progress and offer help. This class is designed for self-motivated students and families that are interested in Unschooling, Homeschool, or Waldorf type learning. I will meet with your student in our first session to determine what they want to learn and how they feel they learn best. I prefer to design curriculum around a multiple intelligences, project based learning experience. All curriculum will include reading lists, projects, logical thinking ,art, writing responses and other activities that will enhance the learner's assignments. I will provide either a weekly or whole semester syllabus based on your needs as a family. I am happy to provide a narrative report card if needed for homeschoolers. Some examples of possible work to include might be writing stories,Stem/Steam activities, art(drawing, painting, sculpting etc)gardening, poetry...the sky is the limit! The goal is to create a learning plan that sparks creativity, motivation and confidence as a learner.

I love allowing young minds to explore their creativity and believe in hands on/student led education.I believe in music and art as foundations for learning.

I have a BA in Speech and Drama with a minor in English and have taught music and theatre in addition to Language Arts , history and elementary school.

I'm also a mom of two fantastic daughters. The other love of my life is an adorable little Pomklee named Hunter.
