Waldorf-Inspired Art Class: Storytelling, Songs and Drawing
What's included
1 live meeting
35 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this weekly art class the children will hear a nature story which we will use as a foundation for creating a beautiful and imaginative drawing using stick crayons (and block crayons if you have them). The stories are seasonal and mystical; the children will meet talking animals, fairies, sprites and all other types of exciting characters. The stories and drawings are chosen to cultivate awe and excitement in the world around them. The teacher will guide the children through creating a drawing that represents the story. The children will be shown step-by-step how to add layers to a picture, creating atmosphere and detail. Most importantly though, this is a freely creative space and children can express their imagination in a way that feels good for them and the teacher will support them and encourage them when needed. This is a safe and supportive space for your child to enjoy storytelling, explore nature, ask questions, discuss ideas and practice different drawing techniques, using crayons, through gentle guidance from the teacher.
Learning Goals
Students will learn new drawing techniques and gain more confidence in the creativity
