Our Waldorf Handwork class beautifully bridges crafting and storytelling. Twice a week, learners engage in projects that stimulate imagination and enhance fine motor skills, such as wet felting, finger knitting and crafting.

Class experience

Fine Motor Skills Development: Through hands-on craft activities, learners will improve their dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and precision.]

Understanding of Craft Techniques: Learners will learn fundamental techniques related to various crafts such as finger knitting, wet felting, basic sewing, and more.

Creativity and Imagination: The narrative elements of the class aim to inspire creativity and imaginative thinking. As learners participate in crafting activities, they're encouraged to infuse their unique ideas and styles into their projects.

Sequencing and Project Completion: Over the course of the week, learners will learn to follow a sequence of actions to complete a project, reinforcing their understanding of project-based tasks and enhancing their sense of accomplishment.

Listening and Comprehension Skills: The storytelling aspect of the course will develop learners' listening skills and narrative comprehension.

Cognitive Development: By correlating stories with hands-on activities, learners will enhance their cognitive development, understanding the connection between abstract concepts and tangible outcomes.

Patience and Focus: Craft activities require patience and focus. Over time, learners will learn the value of taking their time to do a task well and pay attention to detail.

Appreciation for Handwork: One of the broader goals is to develop an appreciation for handwork and the satisfaction that comes from creating something tangible.
