Description

Class Experience

Students will learn movement techniques that empower them to take control of their learning, their emotions, and their attention.
The movements presented each day of the week will center around these skills:
Monday: focus training
Tuesday: attention to detail and cross-body integration
Wednesday: emotional regulation
Thursday: patterns and mathematical thinking
Friday: lasting change through practice and success
Ms Annika is a physical therapist who specializes in adapting movement patterns to individual students' needs. Through her work, she has developed an arsenal of movements that train the brain to improve communication and effective functioning through practice and fun-filled, high-energy dances.
No homework--but the more you practice, the better your brain learns!
You just need a little bit of space and an open mind to try new things. Parent supervision is necessary to ensure safety during at-home exercise classes. Please be sure the space is free from clutter, including baby brothers and puppies.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
These techniques work for grown-ups, too!!
Music used for educational purposes: "Princesses on Parade" from "The Swan Princess"
Monday: "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from "Cinderella"
Tuesday: "A Whole New World" from "Aladdin"
Wednesday: "Something There" from "Beauty and the Beast"
Thursday: "Kiss the Girl" from "Little Mermaid"
Friday: "Fixer Upper" from "Frozen"
