Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm a college graduate with a BA in Journalism and Promotional Communications and a minor in English. I have three years of experience tutoring introductory-level French and leading structured learning assistance for college-level first-year writing courses. I am also an active creative writer and journalist with work published in multiple media outlets, including the student-run newspaper that I led as Editor-in-Chief during my senior year of my undergrad.
Currently, I work at a private university in the student affairs profession while working toward my M.S. in higher education.
I believe students learn better from people they can relate to, so I try to connect the material I teach to my students' other interests wherever I can. If that doesn't help to keep learning fun, my cat loves to make appearances in my video calls from time to time.
