Wading Through the Water Cycle
In this one-time course, learners will focus on why we have the water cycle, the four stages of the water cycle, and complete a hands-on experiment so they can personally observe the water cycle on their own.

Students will be taught about the driving force behind the water cycle as well as the four main stages of the water cycle (evaporation/transpiration, condensation, precipitation, and runoff/downhill flow). Students will start the class by singing and dancing to a song about the water cycle. We will then learn the material in depth, including hand motions for each stage of the water cycle. One plastic bag (sandwich or quart size), access to water, one permanent marker (preferably black), tape (any kind), access to a window facing the Sun Optional: a notebook or piece of paper and pencil to take notes
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
