Class experience
NOTE: Grown up assistance may be needed to help with this experiment off camera if your learner is not yet skilled in pouring. Introductions: We will begin the class by introducing ourselves to our fellow scientists. Discussion: What is water? How do we use water? What do you know about water? What is water cohesion? What does the word adhere mean? Learners will brainstorm the answers to these questions while also having the opportunity to ask their own questions about the class....
Learners will gain exposure to new scientific vocabulary such as cohesion and adherence. Learners will gain a better understanding of the properties of water.
Required Supplies: Two plastic cups Water Absorbent twine or string such as yarn (must be thicker than thread and at least 12 inches in length) Tape Food coloring of your choice Scissors to cut string Tray to catch any spills
Grown up assistance maybe be needed for the experiment portion of this class if your learner is not yet skilled in pouring.
