Vroom, Vroom! Let's Learn Adjectives With Cars - Hot Wheels,Matchbox (Ages 4-9)

In this class, learners will bring their car collections to class.  (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, whatever you have!)  The learners will use their cars to practice the concept of  adjectives in a really fun way.  After learning or reviewing what adjectives are, we will jump into our activity.  I will have a set of adjective cards.  I will randomly choose a card from one of the sets of cards, such as "red" (adjective).  Each learner will search his/her collection for a vehicle that matches.  Once all learners have found a vehicle to match that description,  the learners will share their cars with the class.  We will also discuss what to do if none of the cars match the description.   In addition to color words, the adjective cards will also include adjectives such as: "striped," "broken," "new," and "multi-colored."    Students will also be challenged to think of other nouns and adjectives to describe their vehicles.
