In this 30-minute, one time class, Learners will bring their car collections to class to practice adjectives in a really fun way! By practicing adjectives in a fun way, learners will boost their reading, writing, and social skills.
Class Experience
US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
In this class, learners will bring their car collections to class. (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, whatever you have!) The learners will use their cars to practice the concept of adjectives in a really fun way. After learning or reviewing what adjectives are, we will jump into our activity. I will have a set of adjective cards. I will randomly choose a card from one of the sets of cards, such as "red" (adjective). Each learner will search his/her collection for a vehicle that matches. - Learners will practice their speaking skills while discussing nouns and adjectives which relate to their car collections.
Please have each learner bring their car collection to class. In order to be able to find a car to match many of the nouns or adjectives, learners would benefit by having 20 or more cars. However, please do not hesitate to have your child join us if he/she does not have that many vehicles.
