Over the span of four immersive weeks, we will embark on an in-depth exploration of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the lives of those torn from their homelands, subjected to the brutal clutches of chattel slavery.

I hold 2 degrees. One in Africana/Black Studies and one in Social Sciences. I am currently enrolled in a masters program for African Studies with a minor in Education. I also homeschool my own children and create all of their history/social studies content.

The discussions during this class may include sensitive subjects such as violence, oppression, and the hardships faced by enslaved individuals. We aim to approach this topic with sensitivity and respect for the experiences of those who suffered during this time.
We will be utilize the platform YouTube in viewing only as in I the instructor will play researched and age appropriate videos (max 3 videos' @ 5-8 mins each) that relate to and reiterate our learning objectives & informational slides.
