In this 4 day tutoring class, students will learn the sounds of the vowels through games and activities, giving them the foundation they need to read and spell. On the first day, we will focus on the letter O. We will learn its sounds, how to write it, how to sign it, and draw a picture to help remember the sounds of O. Students will learn the sounds of O, U, and Y.
No homework is required for this class.
Day 1: Paper plate, something to write and color with, and paper. Day 2: Paper plate and something to write with. Day 3: Paper plate and something to write with. Day 4: Paper plates from previous days and a pom pom ball or cotton ball.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment will be informal.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
