Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there, I’m so glad you have stopped by!
Let me introduce myself! I am a mom to two kiddos and three fur babies (we are animal lovers in our household), a Disney fanatic, and I am also a military spouse. As a military spouse I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel the country and connect with so many wonderful people and experience new places. I love to incorporate things I have seen in my travels into my art projects. I have a bachelor’s degree in visual communication marketing and studio art as well as completed coursework in art education. I am also a professional artist and my clay work can be found online and has been exhibited in multiple galleries.
I have been teaching art classes for over a decade while working in a variety of art studios across the country. I currently own a mobile art studio, Muddy Moose Pottery, that brings art enrichment classes into schools, daycares and homeschool groups. I have always been a creative soul and I truly believe that everyone is an artist, you just have to find the art medium you’re most passionate about! This is why you will find that I teach a wide variety of art classes ranging from clay hand-building to acrylic canvas painting and everything in between. I also offer classes for younger ages that put a fun spin on color recognition and color mixing as well as turning basic shapes into works of art.
I will continually expand class offerings and refine the course material so I can always provide your learners with the best art classes possible. If you would like to check out some of the classes I have taught, check out my Facebook page: Muddy Moose Pottery. I look forward to providing your learners with a fun and educational creative outlet!
Fun fact about me: I used to work in the public relations department of an aquarium and have watched jellyfish grow, an octopus open a peanut butter jar and I have fed and photographed African penguins! I love animals and you will find animal themes in many of my art classes!
