Voice Acting for Commercials

In this one-time voice acting class for commercials, learners ages 14-18 will explore the exciting world of voice performance and learn the skills needed to make their voices engaging and memorable. This class is perfect for students who are curious about voice acting, want to build their public speaking skills, or are simply looking for a fun, creative experience.

What Will Be Taught:
We’ll focus on the key elements of a strong commercial read, including:

Articulation: Enunciating clearly without sounding stiff.

Pacing and Cadence: Understanding how to control the speed and rhythm of your speech.

Vocal Quality: Finding and enhancing the unique qualities of your natural voice to match the tone of a commercial.

Expression and Energy: Learning how to make your read feel lively and authentic.

Class Structure:
Warm-Up: We’ll begin with fun vocal exercises to loosen up and practice clear articulation.
Technique Exploration: I'll provide examples of different types of commercial reads (e.g., upbeat, sincere, humorous).

Guided Practice: Students will receive a sample commercial script and practice reading it aloud, focusing on specific techniques.

Feedback and Revisions: Each learner will have the opportunity to perform their script and receive constructive feedback tailored to their strengths and areas for improvement.
Final Read: Students will apply what they’ve learned in a final polished read-through of their script, showcasing their progress.
