Beginner Level
In this voice acting (voice-over) course students will explore the world of anime and how an actor uses their voice to create these dynamic characters. Each class will include: 1. Vocal warm-ups. 2. Characterization techniques and exercises that are used in the creation of anime voice overs. 3. Students will demonstrate their understanding of those characterization techniques by creating a variety of character voices from anime scripts. Note: Students are expected to participate in all warm-ups, exercises, and performances. Parents will receive feedback about their teen's overall performance after the last class.
Learning Goals
1. Students will learn characterization techniques for anime voice acting through various exercises.
2. Students will develop their own anime character voices through imitation, tone, and exploration.
3. Students will perform their anime character voices using various sections of anime scripts.
