Homework
1 hour per week. My "assignments" will generally be in the form of them practicing the specific aspects of the lesson that we covered that day (i.e. "I'd love for you to sing your favorite song three times through each day, while keeping your hand on your low belly and bringing your focus to the fullness of each breath"). Most of my "homework" is designed to keep them feeling enthusiastic and engaged in their sessions and growth!Progress Report

Beginner - Advanced Level
With my teaching I prioritize creating a fun, animated, uplifting space to explore, try new things and express themselves! I will teach learners how to express themselves through vocalizing, how to build solid breath support, how to use body mechanics to help support their voice. We will also help them build their confidence in their voice, stage presence, and self! In our vocal coaching sessions, we will engage in physical stretches/body openers, breathwork exercises, vocal agility games, and singing their favorite songs and styles of music. For developing/transitioning voices (ages 8-18), I highly recommend doing two vocal coaching sessions per week in order to build the habits and muscle memory necessary to excel as a singer. I have found that students who consistently take 2 or more sessions per week grow their confidence and skills much more quickly than those who do not.

Pre-Requisites
I would love to work with any student, beginner-advanced, who has a passion for singing! In our first session together, we will discuss any previous experience they may have and will assess their current level, tailoring each class to them.
Supply List
*Access to a secondary device (phone, ipad, alexa) from which to play parent approved instrumental/karaoke tracks of the songs the learner would like to sing. *A notebook and pen to write down assignments from the session. * A drinking straw (metal, plastic, or cardboard will do)- we will use this for breathwork exercises. *A full water bottle. *An external (USB) mic is preferred but not required.

I am a classically trained singer/songwriter, musical theater performer, and recording artist of 20 years! I studied vocal production in university and have received private vocal coaching of my own from the age of 14-35. For the past 16 years, I have taught vocal lessons to students around the world, and some of those students are now on Broadway!
In addition to this, I have recorded and published 4 solo albums of my own. I have also been the music director, acting coach, and choreographer for youth musical theater productions in Los Angeles, CA.Reviews
