Class Experience
In this once weekly class, each class students will learn a new group of Greek and Latin root words and related vocabulary. We will focus each week on learning the meaning of these roots which will help students to unlock dozens of vocabulary words. Learning these roots, helps learners to be able to decode words on their own outside of class, and build their vocabulary even further. Students will learn the follow Greek and Latin roots, along with over a dozen related vocabulary words- Roots: Bi, Du, & Di Roots: Tri, Quad, Quint, Pent, Dec, & Cent Root: Min Root: Gen Roots: Anthro, Homo, & Hum Roots: Mater & Pater More importantly, through learning these roots, students will be able to decode many other words in the English Language, accelerating their vocabulary.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in and am a certified Secondary Education Teacher (grades 6 through 12) with a concentration in English/ Language Arts.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
