Your learner can join at any time!* In this class students will learn and master five new vocabulary words that will improve their written and verbal expression skills each week. In each session, we will learn the pronunciation and meaning of five new words. We will discuss any synonyms or antonyms of the words. We will practice using our new vocabulary words in sentences and will create illustrations for each term. An optional student vocabulary journal handout...
Students will learn many different academic terms that will improve their written and verbal expression skills.
I am a state-certified 6-12 Social Studies teacher with 10 years experience teaching a variety Social Studies and ELA classes. I am CALP (Certified Academic Language Practitioner) certified and have many years experience teaching students of all learning styles and differences.
No homework will be given, but students are encouraged to review their vocabulary words outside of class.

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This course uses Kahoot! to review (if time allows). Students do not need to create an account for this resource. A new Kahoot! game pin is provided for each session.
