Fall Fun With Vivaldi's Autumn, Story, Game, and Craft! (Pre-K-2Nd Grade)

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
In the first part of the class, students will be introduced to a made up story about fall. Throughout the story, they will listen to Vivaldi's Autumn (from Four Seasons) and reenact different story scenes with the music . They will also learn a few facts about Antonio Vivaldi. In addition, we will discuss what composers do and what does it mean to compose music. Finally, children will participate in musical games. As students listen to Vivaldi's music, students will practice using their imagination. They will also learn who Vivaldi was and what composers do. During the craft time, children will exercise their fine motor skills and will be encouraged to use their creativity.
Supply List: • Shoe box WITHOUT LID OR TOP • Construction or any other kind of paper in colors of autumn (yellow, brown, red, orange, etc.) • Multiple autumn leaves preferably in bright colors (small and medium sizes) • Other small natural materials, like acorns or pine cones • LIQUID glue (NOT a glue stick!) • Scotch tape • Scissors • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils (optional)
For the craft portion of the class, parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8). Please note that as per Outschool policy, parents should remain off camera Thank you.
