In this exciting and interactive course, you'll learn how healthcare providers measure and interpret vital signs, unlocking the secrets these health indicators reveal. You learn about how healthcare providers assess and utilize temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygenation, providing a solid foundation for future healthcare knowledge and application. In this course, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of vital signs and their importance. You'll learn how healthcare professionals measure and interpret temperature, identify pulse rates and rhythms, count respirations to assess lung function, and accurately measure blood pressure, including understanding systolic and diastolic pressures. Additionally, you'll learn how healthcare providers use pulse oximetry to understand blood oxygenation levels. Ideal for older kids and teens interested in becoming doctors, nurses, or other health professionals, this course offers hands-on learning and key insights into medicine and the human body. Start your healthcare journey today! The class is organized into interactive sections, each focusing on a different vital sign. We'll start with an introduction and gradually dive into each topic, combining theory with hands-on practice. Course materials include a guided worksheet for the presentation with fun quiz questions and games. My teaching style for this class is interactive and student-centered. The course is designed to create a safe learning environment where you feel comfortable engaging with the material and learning at your own pace. I focus on making complex topics easy to understand and applicable to real-life scenarios through a variety of activities, including interactive quizzes, practical exercises, and video demonstrations. Please note, this class does not provide medical training or medical services. This class is purely educational and provides a surface-level overview of vital signs. It is not intended to offer medical advice, diagnose, or treat any conditions.
