Whether you're a foodie, a culture lover, or simply curious about the marvels of Japan, this class is perfect for you!

①Learn about Osaka’s unique characteristics that set it apart from other cities in Japan and the world.
②Discover Osaka’s iconic landmarks, from the historic Osaka Castle to the futuristic Umeda Sky Building and the dazzling lights of Dotonbori.
③Explore the vibrant entertainment districts, such as Shinsaibashi, Namba, and Amerikamura, each offering a unique glimpse into Osaka’s lively urban culture.
④Dive into the rich history of Osaka, from its role as Japan’s merchant city to its transformation into a modern metropolis.
⑤Understand Osaka's role in Japanese culture, from being known as “Japan’s Kitchen” to its influence on comedy, performing arts, and modern entertainment.
⑥Savor Osaka’s culinary delights, including takoyaki, okonomiyaki, kushikatsu, and other street food specialties that make Osaka a foodie’s paradise.

★ Date & Time: July 6th, Saturday at 10:00 to 10:50 am EST (and additional dates if there is enough interest)
★ Platform: The class will be conducted using Zoom, YouTube, and Google Slides for an immersive and interactive learning experience.
★ Assessment: After the class, there will be an assessment to test your understanding and knowledge of Osaka’s vibrant and multifaceted nature.
★ Series Information: This class is part of our “A Look at Japan” series, covering various regions including Tokyo, Hokkaido, Kyoto, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Okinawa, and Kyushu. Future classes may explore additional regions such as Nara, Shikoku, Mt. Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko, Niigata, and Tohoku, depending on interest.
