**Learners more than five minutes late to class will not be admitted and will have to watch the recording** In this class I will use a combination of Neapod VR, Canva presentation, digital archives and even videos to teach kids about the Oregon Trail. We will discuss the origins of the the Oregon Trail, various landmarks (Ayers Rock, Chimney Rock), learn what it was like to travel the trail through digital archives, virtual tour and learn about multiple stops on the trail (Independence, MO,...
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of the Oregon Trail and it's importance.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Throughout the class we will have various ways to gauge understanding, examples: open ended questions, polls, and true or false questions, at the end of the lesson.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
