Description

Class Experience

Learners will practice their social skills such as taking turns, listening, speaking in front of others, asking questions, participating, sharing ideas, using good manners, respecting the opinions of others, recognising body language and non-verbal cues, recognising facial expressions and feelings of others, encouraging others, accepting differences, taking someone else's perspective, being kind, using names, waiting patiently, complimenting others, and more. Learners will build confidence through the encouragement of the friends they will find here.
I am a homeschool mother of multiple children. We have always homeschooled and participated in distance education. We came to Outschool in 2018 as learners, and now I am excited to also teach on this platform. I understand the needs of parents of learners here as I am one myself. My own child/children will be regularly participating in this social club.
I have degrees, post-graduate, and professional qualifications in the following - only those relevant to this class are listed here, for a complete list please visit my teacher profile page:

- TESOL - I have completed 8 out of 8 units towards the 150-hour qualification. When I receive my official professional certificate from Arizona State University I will update this here;
- Applied Linguistics;
- Nursing Science.

I have also completed the following short courses which are relevant to the classes I teach here:

- ADHD: Everyday Strategies for Elementary Students;
- The Clinical Psychology of Children and Young People;
- Everyday Parenting: The ABCs of Child Rearing;
- Nutrition, Health, and Lifestyle: Issues and Insights.

Learners are welcome to call me Pamela. My preferred pronouns are she/her. If your learner prefers to go by a name other than their legal name, please let me know in a private message prior to class, along with any preferred pronouns.

I welcome ALL learners, and I look forward to seeing you in class soon!
