This class suggestion came up in our conversations during:

"Afternoon Tea Social Club for Homeschoolers / Distance Education / All Learners"

https://outschool.com/classes/afternoon-tea-social-club-for-homeschoolers-distance-education-all-learners-m2t9nk04#ustAYO53Uy

because our Afternoon Teas are never long enough and everyone wants to keep hanging around when it is time to go.

However, you do not have to ever have attended this club/class in order to come to our pajama party!

We are going to have what is essentially an extended "Afternoon Tea" on a Saturday night (AEST) where we wear our pajamas - or whatever you want to wear - and we do fun stuff, including but not limited to:

Eating snacks, having a social chat, and Show-And-Tell:

   - Pets
   - Favourite Things
   - Favourite Toys
   - Favourite Books
   - Favourite Songs
   - Favourite Movies
   - Favourite Foods
   - Favourite Games
   - Artwork they have done
   - Creative Writing
   - Anything else that the learners want to share

This "party" will be on from 7pm to 9pm AEST on a Saturday night, which equates to the following approximate times on a Saturday (not taking into account any changes due to daylight savings time) around the world:

- New Zealand - 9pm to 11pm
- South Korea, Japan - 6pm to 8pm
- China, Thailand, AWST - 5pm to 7pm
- India - 2:30pm to 4:30pm
- Romania, APAC - 12pm to 2pm
- United Kingdom - 10am to 12pm
- USA EST - 5am to 7am (For the early risers who are still in their pajamas!)

Our learners are exposed to storylines in books, comics, cartoons, movies, television shows, etc. where children their ages are having "sleepover" parties and alike, however, the pandemic has changed this and it is no longer a likely occurrence. Some of these learners have expressed that they wish they could do these activities, because before the pandemic they were too young, and now they feel like they are missing out on something special.

I, as their teacher who is now in my 40's, did get to do these things in my childhood, so I thought that I could try and recreate/replicate the fun times in this virtual setting.

The regular attendees of our Afternoon Teas really are a great bunch of children, and I expect that anyone new who joins us will be amazing and kind too.
Learning Goals
