Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Students will hop on the imaginary boat, gear up in their scuba equipment, and jump in the ocean to explore the creatures found in 5 different marine layers (Sunlight, Twilight, Midnight, Abyssal, and Trench Layers). Each encounter will prompt students to use their eyes and ears to search for each creature, or guess what might be lurking beyond the bubbles! I use amazing sound effects, video, and photographs to learn about each creature.
Students will have time to ask questions and share their thoughts about each creature with their peers. I am a high energy and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for connecting young people with the magnificent natural world -- especially the ocean!
This class is for young nature lovers, or those with a budding interest in science. I have training and experience working with ASD/ADHD learners and adapting lessons for learners with unique learning styles. Given the multi-modal approach, this course is conducive for neurodiverse learners!
