This lesson is a one-time "snap-shot" version of a lesson that comes from the longer, more in-depth and discussion-based course that I offer. If you are interested in multiple classes like this, looking at different aspects of the country spanning history, culture, food, language and more, here is the link to that course: https://outschool.com/classes/virtual-field-trip-3-weeks-in-thailand-ivMqO9Zp#us3ZXggbyk ▬▬▬▬▬▬ COURSE SUMMARY ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Travel the world easily in this one-time class with a friendly, knowledgeable guide. After living in Thailand for several years, both working and traveling, I am able to give first-hand experience of the adventure through my own observations as well as the interviews I did with natives and locals along the way. Dive into the diverse traditions and traverse the verdant jungles of Thailand, all without ever leaving your home. This class is a snapshot of life in Thailand as seen through the eyes of someone living there. My ambition is to bring interest and enthusiasm to students as we learn more about unique countries with diverse cultures, which will lead to a personal understanding of other people, languages and traditions. The class will touch on various topics including: - History of Thailand - Religions and traditions of Thai people - Important geography and landmarks - Cuisine and local dishes - Distinctive differences from Western culture (Do's and Don'ts in Thai culture) - Other interesting facts This interactive, virtual field trip is not one to miss! I create my entire teaching schedule based on schedule requests, so if you don't see a time that works for you, please put in a request!
Learning Goals
By the end of this lesson, students will be more knowledgeable about a foreign country, including culture, language, traditions and way of life. Students will be able to express the differences between Western culture and Thai culture.
