Class Experience

Whether students are beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of violin playing or advanced players who want to improve their technique and continue advancing, this private class will benefit all learners alike. The topics covered will depend on the level of the learner and what his/her goals are.
My teaching approach is student-centered where learners are encouraged to contribute to their own learning by becoming independent musicians. Students will learn through modeling, call and response, and interaction with the teacher. Students will interact with the teacher through videos, in-class performances, and discussions. Students will need a violin, bow, shoulder rest, instrument stand, art tapes, and rosin.

        CANCELLATION POLICY:
If I need to cancel your child's lesson, I will let you know at least 24 hours in advance, but I usually do so with a week's notice so we can reschedule the lesson. Please, if you cannot make your lesson time, let me know as soon as possible and at least 24 hours in advance so I can rearrange my time accordingly. I will try my best to reschedule a same-day cancellation if it is an emergency, but it is not a guarantee. I appreciate your help and respect for my time.
I am thrilled to share my passion and knowledge of violin playing with your children. I consider it a privilege to guide them in this exciting journey. Motivating your child to achieve his/her potential in violin is a challenge I embrace every day.
Learning Goals
The student will learn at his/her own pace to achieve his/her own goal.

Other Details

Supply List
Students will need a violin that comes with a shoulder rest, rosin, and strings, all of which are available on Amazon for as low as $70, but you may also be able to find cheaper ones online. I would also recommend having an instrument stand, which will make practicing easier and more comfortable ($11.98). Lastly, art tapes may be beneficial for the student, depending on their level ($7).
