Welcome to my page! Please feel free to contact me if you don't see a suitable time slot in my schedule. I am proficient in teaching in both English and Russian. Below, you will find examples of what will be covered in your violin lessons: Week 1 Introduction During the first week, the teacher will assess the student's musical level, discuss proper etiquette during lessons, and set expectations. For beginners, this will include an introduction to the violin, exploring open strings, plucking techniques, and establishing the left-hand position. Intermediate and advanced students will collaborate with the teacher to define their goals, whether it's improving their performance in orchestra class, winning a competition, or succeeding in an audition. Week 2 First Song For beginners, this week will focus on learning the first song. We will start by plucking the strings and continue to work on improving the bow hold and mastering the bow's movement across the strings. Intermediate and advanced students will receive exercises to enhance their techniques and delve into the repertoire relevant to their school, audition, or competition. Week 3 Putting Both Hands Together In the third week, beginners will learn how to play with both hands and develop hand coordination. Intermediate and advanced students will begin learning etudes by Wolfhart, Kreutzer, or Paganini. Week 4 Learning New Songs This week, beginners will review the songs they have already learned and acquire two additional songs. Intermediate and advanced students will perform the entire repertoire for assessment and receive new assignments for further improvement. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the class will be considered as a missed class and you will be charged. It is important that you follow up daily with the assignments given in your lessons. I will go over the practice process with you and give you a recommended time for your daily practice assignments. I look forward to working with you, Anna
