Homework
2-4 hours per week. Students should practice at least 4 days a week for a total of at least 40 minutes each day. Students will be given warmup exercises as well as solo repertoire.Class Experience
This ongoing course is designed for students that already have a fair bit of experience on the violin. At a minimum, students enrolling in these lessons should know how to read and play notes across all four strings. If you are looking for beginner lessons, please see the other courses I offer. In this class, students will develop and improve their overall musicianship and technique through scales, etudes, and solos that are matching their level of playing. When you register, please message me to let me know some background of your playing and I will then be able to personalize the class for you. Techniques that will be covered can include: Shifting to Third Position (and others) Syncopated Rhythms Harmonics Two or Three Octave Major Scales Minor Scales Vibrato

Supply List
Students are expected to own their own sheet music. If it is in the public domain, it can be accessed on imslp.org. Otherwise, it will need to be purchased. The total of books is estimated to be $10-25 if the student does not already have them. A list of specific books will be provided during the first lesson after assessing the student's goals.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
