What's included
1 live meeting
1 in-class hoursClass Experience
This is an opportunity for students who are already enrolled in lessons with me to show off the pieces they have worked hard on in our private lessons and during their practice time. Each student will have a chance to play their piece uninterrupted for the group in a virtual recital environment. Every student will receive their feedback privately at their next lesson. When the class time begins, students will be greeted and have the opportunity to tune and decide their preferred spot in the performance order. When it is their turn, each musician will introduce themselves and their piece. They will then play for the group, with all other microphones muted. After their performance, I will give them a short congratulations and we will move on to the next student. This class will function essentially like any music recital you may have been to, but without a large audience, giving students the opportunity to perform a solo without a large amount of pressure.
Learning Goals
Students will experience performing on their instrument and gain a greater understanding of themselves and their playing ability.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Truman State University
Hello! My name is Jordan. I am a private music teacher and avid reader and crocheter. I have a degree in music and have been making music for almost 20 years!
When I was 6, I told my mother that I was going to be a teacher someday, and ever since 2016 I have been (in one way or another) living out my dream! I believe that students are incredible. Learning is an endeavor where a student and teacher work together to solve problems and the ultimate goal of a teacher is to give a student the tools to teach themselves. Each student has unique interests, circumstances, and learning methods. My job is to find the path forward that works for the student to help them achieve their goals. My methods are based in solid student-teacher rapport and continue to develop over time as I lean on both my education and the experience I continue to gain.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me trying to chase after my son, reading, working on my crochet or amigurumi, or making music with my local orchestra.
