Hello Fashion Fans!


Do you love vintage and retro clothing and fashion?  If so, this is the course for you!

This course is part of the Vintage Fashion Fans series, and it covers the 1890s through the 1930s.

Each week, we will look at the fashions of the decade we are studying.  We'll learn the key fashion terms relevant to that decade, the major designers, and essential historical context in order to understand how fashion is shaped by what's going on in the world.  This course will use...

Students will recognize key fashion terms for the decades under study.  Students will be able to identify when an article of clothing was made based on key characteristics.

This course does not have homework.  Optional supplementary materials (images, pages from magazines, videos) will be provided at the end of lessons to enable further student exploration.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
