This is a class for learners to play games and socialize! Run by a teacher who is passionate about small scale games, each section will have a learner directed mix of social discussion and gaming time. Discussions can range from recommending hidden gems, to celebrating achievements, or even the start of a new adventure! In terms of content, learners can play whatever they could reasonably play in their home. As long as the discussion and screen share is kept to PG-13 games, it's ok by me! An example month could have topics similar to the following: Nov 7th Topic: Platformers Nov 14th Topic: RPGs Nov 21st Topic: Strategy Nov 28th Topic: Puzzle

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi There! I'm Evan, and I'm a game developer. I've been a peer tutor in programming and game design for about 6 years now. My favorite games are Undertale and Titanfall 2, and I teach students to develop games of their own!
I believe that everyone who plays games could benefit from learning how they're made! Even for those who don't want to do it as a career, an understanding of the multidisciplinary development process can carry over into other jobs and hobbies quite easily!
