In this 2-day course, students will learn editing techniques on iMovie. Students will learn the following editing techniques on iMovie: -Import video clips, images, and music -How to trim clips, split clips, and cut clips -Adding transitions -How to slow or speed up clips -How to add audio and change the sound levels of an audio clip -Jump cuts -Video Overlays -Exporting a completed movie My class is structured as a fun and creative environment and I want my students to be involved. Students will learn how to edit their videos using iMovie. They will also learn basic editing techniques that are common in the industry.
Students will practice editing during off hours. They should take an hour to practice. This class is a condensed version of my normal iMovie class. Students should complete their assignments before class time.
Students will need an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch with iMovie installed. The iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch should be using iOS 15 or higher.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The student will be using iMovie on their iOS devices. They will need to download iMovie from Apple's app store. An Apple ID account is required in order to download iMovie from Apple's app store. During the class, I'll be screen sharing my iPad on Zoom. I'll be showcasing the editing techniques in iMovie.
