Video Editing: Creating a Mood Film (10-12)

In this course students will learn through direct discussion as well as short demonstrations. Video editing is an art form unto itself. It is also an artistic practice. Students will be introduced to the artistic aspects of video editing. They will learn how to express themselves artistically through the construction of Mood Films.
I hold an MFA in Cinema production and currently teach at a University film school.
Homework Offered
This course has one follow-up assignment. A completed 30 second Mood Film.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Each learner will receive personalized feedback on their films.Grades Offered
Each learner will need a computer or device with editing software installed. I will be demonstrating with iMovie but learners can use other software packages including Final Cut Pro, or Adobe.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Pexels is a stock site. We will visit the site together during the class. However, students will not need to visit Pexels to create their own film. I will supply them with a selection of stock footage to choose from when they are ready to complete their own film.
