This course will introduce you to the basics of video editing through the creation of a 30 second Mood Film.

Class Experience

  • Students will be introduced to the artistic aspects of video editing. They will learn how to express themselves artistically through the construction of Mood Films.
I hold an MFA in Cinema production and currently teach at a University film school.

Details: This course has one follow-up assignment. A completed 30 second Mood Film.
Assessment

Details: Each learner will receive personalized feedback on their films.
Each learner will need a computer or device with editing software installed.  I will be demonstrating with iMovie but learners can use other software packages including Final Cut Pro, or Adobe. 
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Pexels is a stock site.  We will visit the site together during the class.  However, students will not need to visit Pexels to create their own film.  I will supply them with a selection of stock footage to choose from when they are ready to complete their own film.
