------------------------------------- This is a semester-long class for learners who are looking to learn Adobe Premiere Pro and or improve their editing skills. I will assist your learner with understanding how to use this professional editing program. I do my best to check in with learners before during and after class to answer any questions they may have! I always encourage learners to ask any questions they may have. Students will gain more knowledge and tips for editing. I provide you with media which will be messaged before each class. If learners are already familiar with Premiere Pro the teacher will help them build upon their skills Please read the breakdown for this semester-long class below: -In meeting #1 I will help learners get familiar with the program tools and terms. We will ease into learning the program bit by bit. Some tools and terms are the razor, selector, timeline, sequence, etc. After learning the tools and terms we will practice and apply them. Students will also learn to create folders that are specific to this class to keep all their media in one place for the organization. -Meeting #2 Students will learn how to import their own media (videos and photos) into Premiere Pro. Then we will learn about why track layers are important in general and for certain effects. We will work with 3 media files for our second class. Students will apply transitions to their clips and learn how to adjust the drag and drop transition in the effect controls panel -Meeting #3 During each class I will repeat terms to help students remember the Premiere Pro features. Students will learn color grading, such as changing the video color for different moods for different seasons. Then I will help the students with the cropping effects features. Students will be encouraged to create their own edits with the information given thus far. -Meeting #4 Students will receive 4 different media files. They will be challenged to apply the information learned thus far to create their own edit. By doing this, the teacher will see what they remember and what they may be having difficulty with. We will then move forward in class with learning how to create different shapes in Premiere and backgrounds for videos. -Meeting #5 The teacher will cover how to edit audio. We will learn how to edit audio levels, remove background noise, apply audio effects, and make voiceovers. -Meeting #6 Creating motion and movement for transitions, text, videos, and more will be the focus of this class. Knowing how to animate different elements in Premiere can help make videos to be more engaging. -Meeting #7 For the majority of this class we will learn how to create our own visual effects like making "hero-like" glows on arms, making objects float, and changing eye color -Meeting #8 During the final meeting the teacher will spend time recalling key information covered throughout classes together. Students will be asked to show and recall what they remember. There will be time for students to ask any questions they might have as it will be our final meeting. After, we will cover changing and replacing skies.

Hi! My name is Ms. King and I specialize in Video Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop Art.
I attended the Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD). After graduating from CHAD high school I enrolled at a sustainability-focused private liberal arts college. I decided to take up Communication as a major and minor in Writing and Documentary Studies.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a Minor in Writing and Documentary Studies, a TESOL certification, and an Interior Design + Home Styling Certification.
I am an enthusiastic, energetic, and patient teacher. I have educated students of all ages and love creating exciting classes. I put my all into every class and try to make hard topics easy to understand.
I enjoy virtual classes because I can teach children all across the world in different time zones. Although some learners may be in different parts of the world, we are all united at that moment not just through technology but through learning as well!
During my leisure, I love reading and studying. I look forward to meeting your kiddo and hearing about their passions also. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you!
