Class Experience

This is a relaxing acrylic class for young artists to practice painting a series of moonlight scenery. Learners will explore color mixing, blending, and brush techniques while discovering their artistic flow.

I am committed to ensuring that my learners receive the best possible guidance and support. In line with this, I will be providing constructive feedback on their work, and share valuable tips on how they can enhance their skills and implement the necessary changes in their work.

We will focus on the creative process so that learners can build their confidence in their creative abilities at their own pace.

Learners will complete seven moonlight paintings using different techniques. Young artists can decorate their walls with their paintings to uplift their mood or gift it to loved ones.

Young artists will follow along as the teacher demonstrates step-by-step instructions using an easygoing approach.

Learners will first learn the secret to mixing their own vibrant purple, violet, and pink. We will then create a variety of vibrant moonlight paintings and learn about the eight moon phases.

This is a self-paced course and there are no live meetings.

Weekly pre-recorded instructional videos will be posted in the classroom. Videos are no longer than an hour and a half.

Learners will watch and paint along to a painting per week except for the last week.

In the last week, learners will watch one short pre-recorded video about the eight phases of the moon and create their own set of moon phases.

Learners will present their final painting through a short video recording in the classroom. This will give young artists a chance to practice their presentation skills.

Young artists will share their finished paintings in the classroom with a personal reflection of what they’ve learned, what was challenging for them, and what can be improved.

Learners will be able to watch the recordings on their schedule. They will also be provided a packet and a printable mermaid silhouette.

The teacher will also provide positive feedback and prompt learners to leave constructive feedback. Learners are required to share their paintings in the classroom.

This class is designed with beginners in mind. Young artists will learn basic acrylic painting techniques and apply these techniques to create their masterpieces.
