Class Experience

I am a certified veterinary technician and veterinary educator. I have worked for 30 plus years in a practice that sees most common exotic and pocket pet species. I have both education and hands on experience with all of the species we will be discussing.
I am excited to share my love of veterinary medicine for all of these fascinating animals with your aspiring veterinary professional!
Learners will be provided with a short list each week of project ideas to select from. They will be asked to share their project via photo or video and to comment on what they liked best about their classmate’s projects that are shared. This will allow learners to explore topics a bit more through hands on projects and to learn from each other!
Weekly projects will be announced at least one week prior to each class. Most materials needed will be found around the house such as; poster board, markers, cardboard box or shoe box, stuffed animal, small towel, and scissors. Some printing of worksheets may be needed.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some medical conditions can be upsetting to some learners. They will be looking at some photos that can be “gross” to some students.
