In this class, we will talk about what Veterans Day is, why we celebrate it, the history of Veterans Day, the branches of the military, and we will begin to make a Veterans Day card.

We will begin class by talking about what a veteran is and the five branches of the military. The students will be able to tell about any veterans that they know. The students will be asked what they know about Veterans Day and then they will learn the history of Veterans Day and why we have a Veterans Day. They will be able to tell the difference between Veterans Day and Memorial Day. The students will begin making a card for a veteran at the end of class. The students do not need any prior knowledge to enroll in this class.
