Very Van Gogh Winter: Acrylic Paint and Socialization Class
Class experience
Would you rather paint a picture or learn about a famous artist? In this class, you can do both. You will learn a little about Vincent Van Gogh and then use his art to inspire our own acrylic paintings with a winter theme. Each learner should choose their own paint colors. While there will be a demonstration, creativity is encouraged. Get your reactions ready in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. Art is important for several different reasons. Through art, children can learn problem-solving skills, increase fine motor skills, and increases social-emotional learning. The learners will learn about the artist Vincent Van Gogh as well as landscape paintings. They will learn about using lines and shapes to create art.
I have been an educator for over 30 years. During this time, I have taught children in grades K-5 all academic areas as well as Art and STEM.
