Class Experience

What do these amazing and coolest animals on the earth, Asian elephants, Green turtles, Poison Dart frogs, Kakapo birds, and Small Tooth sawfish have in common? They are all in the same class of endangered animals!

What does it mean to be an endangered animal? An animal is endangered when there are so few left alive on the planet that the entire species is in danger of vanishing forever or extinct.

In this fifty five minutes interactive course, we will explore five animals that are running the risk of becoming extinct. We will be studying the Asian elephants, Green turtles, Poison Dart frog, Kakapo bird, Small Tooth sawfish.

This class will answer the following questions:

 - What does endangered mean?
 - Why are they endangered?
 - What is their species?
 - How would you describe them?
 - Where do they live?
 - What do they eat?

The students will be provided with pictures of the animals for them to color.

Learning Goals

Learning about endangered animals is a great way for children to learn empathy and show compassion for the world around them. It will also instill greater respect and love for animals.
