Verbal reasoning assesses the ability to reasonably answer a question expressed through words. The learner reads given information or a problem, processes the data, forms a theory, and evaluates the problem's outcome. Some children simply have "the knack" for Verbal Reasoning, even if they have never encountered it before. These learners also tend to be keen on puzzles of all types – crosswords, word searches, word games, jigsaws, Sudoku, etc. The more confident a child is with vocabulary, the better they will perform with verbal reasoning. This class will work with exam-style questions alongside playing games with vocabulary will help with verbal reasoning. It is believed to be an effective way of testing a child’s potential, not just learned ability. This class will be covering different practice elements of verbal reasoning each week and often multiple features in one session. Each session will be individual, so learners may join at any time. No previous knowledge is required. All materials will either be on screen or provided as handouts for printing each week. This class uses interactive online tools such as Nearpod and Kahoot!, which will require a split-screen or second device. * This class is ideal for practicing for the 11+ exams Upcoming 18/03/21 - Riddles 25/03/21 - Quiz time!
