**Please Note - If you have taken my Common Creature - Lion Animals class, the jellyfish information is very similar between these two classes. ----- In the animal kingdom, there are many defensive adaptations and abilities that creatures can use to protect themselves from predators. In this class, we will be focusing on two creatures that lack backbones but have a unique surprise for animals that choose to threaten them. In this class, we will discuss: 1) Jellyfish 2) Scorpions...
Learners will learn things such as behaviour, diet, and fascinating facts about jellyfish and scorpions. In addition, we will learn the difference between poison and venom how these creatures use venom to hunt for their prey.
I have a strong passion for animals and have even worked at an aquarium before which had jellyfish. I love getting others excited about the animal kingdom and feel as though I can approach this topic with a lot of fun and excitement for the learners.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
