Students will discover where on a map of the world 5 of the world's most venomous or toxic creatures live and the type of habitat they are live in. They will also find out where in the world 5 of their harmless cousins, commonly kept as pets originate from. They will learn to identify a mammal, a reptile, amphibian and arachnid, as well as carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
During the class we will be using some of the Deadly 60 books from the BBC children's natural history series. There is no need for students to have seen the TV series or read the books to enjoy and access the class. They are great books and programmes for young animal lovers though.
