Class Experience

Welcome to Vegetarian & Vegan Pioneers, the social club where young vegetarians, vegans, and those curious about plant-powered living come together to explore, learn, and share!

In this weekly class, we’ll dive into all things vegetarian and vegan in a fun and supportive environment. This isn’t a cooking class—it's a chance to build a deeper understanding of both vegetarian and vegan lifestyles, discover how they differ, and empower yourself to make informed choices about food and lifestyle.

Each session will cover different aspects of being vegetarian or vegan, from understanding the foods that are off-limits (like gelatin and honey) to exploring famous vegetarians and vegans who have inspired change in the world. We’ll also dive into the benefits of a plant-based diet for ourselves and the environment and explore how to navigate social situations where plant-based choices might be new or misunderstood.

Learners will have the chance to share their experiences and ask questions.

Teaching Style:
My teaching style is focused on interaction, creativity, and open dialogue. I encourage students to ask questions, share their thoughts, and think critically about what they learn. By blending fun multimedia, engaging activities, and discussions, I aim to create a supportive space where all learners feel confident and empowered to explore both vegetarian and vegan lifestyles.

How Learners Will Interact:
Learners will interact with me and each other through discussions, creative activities like poster-making, and games. I encourage students to share their own experiences and ask questions to help each other learn. The class is designed to foster a sense of community and provide learners with tools to advocate for plant-based choices in their lives.
