Vanilla Sprinkle Cupcakes

In this one time course, students will learn to make sprinkle filled cupcakes from scratch! This recipe is egg-free and can easily be made dairy-free and vegan.

Class Experience

Cupcakes have to cool completely before they can be frosted.  This means that students will be finishing cupcakes after class is over.  We will make the frosting together in class.
 1 file available upon enrollment
Kitchen supplies: mixing bowl, spoon, cupcake pan, cupcake liner, measuring cups, measuring spoons. A hand mixer or stand mixer will be helpful for the frosting. Ingredients: all purpose flour (or a gluten-free 1:1 baking flour), granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, milk (or non-dairy milk) vegetable oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, sprinkles, powdered sugar, butter (or non-dairy butter)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is necessary while using the oven.
