Don't you just love sunflowers? Sunflowers are a happy flower and make the day brighter. In this class learners will enjoy using scissors and tearing paper to create artwork using construction paper. After our welcome and get to know you time, we will go over the materials list to make sure everyone has what they need for the class. I will ask the class about what they know about texture and if anyone is familiar with Vincent Van Gogh. We will discuss what texture is and how Van Gogh used it...
Learners will learn about Vincent Van Gogh, use the art element of texture by making a composition using fine motor skills of cutting and tearing paper.
I have been teaching children from ages birth to young teens for 30 years. My degree is in Studio Art and I'm certified in Early Childhood Education. I taught 3 year old preschool classes, first grade at international schools overseas, and I was a nanny for the same family for 22 years. My whole career has been centered on working with children and I have incorporated my passion for art throughout that whole time.
You can attach a photo of your artwork on the review page or classroom to share with everyone!
